An informational security component will be invested in educational programmes. The Ombudsman has signed a trilateral memorandum

The RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, the RA Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan, and the head of “Kaspersky Lab” JSC Evgeniy Kaspersky have signed a trilateral memorandum of cooperation on information and Internet security for children in the field of education. After the signing ceremony a working consultation took place during which the timetable and organizational issues of implementation of the Memorandum were discussed.

The reason for signing of the Memorandum is to face the current challenges of spread of information technology, the protection of children’s rights in the Internet, and maintainace of safety rules during the use of modern information technology, which are an important precondition for ensuring children’s intellectual, mental and physical development.

The aim of  the Memorandum is to increase the protection of children’s rights in virtual environment, improve children’s and their parents skills in terms of using the Internet safely. Within the scope of the Memorandum, it is planned to establish a cooperation framework between the parties which will enhance effective cooperation in the fields of mutual interests..

In particular, it is expected to exchange the experience with “Kaspersky Lab”, as well as to regulate the exchange of statistical information on cyber threat between the RA Human Right Defender’s stuff, the RA Ministry of Education and Science, and the head of “Kaspersky Lab”. The framework of the Memorandum is limited to exchange of cyber threat related non-personal information.
